My Daughter, The Colorist

Just when I think I couldn't get any further from posting anything of genuine interest...

A "father-daughter doodle" of Uncle Bernie, Wubby and Daddy.

Mariel assisted with coloring it in!

The Many Moods of Wubby

Just some more quickies of my daughter. I don't know how I do it, but my three year old always looks like some sort of 'tween when I draw her...

Flippin' the Bird

Remember that duck from yesterday's post? Well, here's a quick way to really see how crappy your work really is! Just flip your drawing and notice how asymmetrical and poorly laid out it is! Have a lookie-loo...

Ouch! See what I mean? The two eyes are completely off! They don't belong together. If you put your thumb over one of the eyes, the drawing looks passable. Take your thumb away and you'll see they are not matched up as far as size, tilt, etc.

I repeat, "Ouch!"

Chaotic Doodles

It has been chaos, chaos, I tell you, 'round my house the last month! Family emergencies, extended in-law visits, etc, etc. Here are but a few "father-daughter doodles" that cropped up during the maelstrom...

Awww... a cute li'l kitten!

A not-very-flattering portrait of my daughter. Those things sticking out of the right side of her head are snarls that she twists into her hair. Her nickname is "Wubby" which we bestowed on her as an infant. Wiggly + Chubby = Wubby. Get it?

I drew another duck using Mariel's colored pencils. (They were an Easter gift from Aunt Amy!)

"Draw a blue Pooh!" the daughter commanded. I complied. The color didn't scan very well, though.

I Will Be Buying This

The first sixty Popeye cartoons produced by the Fleischer studios and over five hours of extras?

Yeah, I'm gettin' this...
